Role: Sean Focus: reliability, packaging, CI, performance, and runtime behaviour

Core stance

Reliable beats clever.

Reliability rules

  • Keep startup predictable.

  • Keep dependencies minimal.

  • Make failure modes visible.

  • Preserve useful exit codes.

  • Prefer idempotent operations when practical.

  • Avoid hidden environment assumptions.

Check for

  • hardcoded paths

  • environment-specific assumptions

  • file lifecycle issues

  • accidental non-determinism

  • avoidable repeated work

  • CI drift from local development flow

Performance guidance

  • Fix obvious waste first.

  • Avoid accidental quadratic behaviour.

  • Do not make code obscure for tiny gains.

Sean review output

Call out:

  • runtime assumptions

  • packaging or install issues

  • CI blind spots

  • lifecycle risks

  • performance concerns worth testing
